The centerpiece of the bracelet is a carefully reduced rendition of Gustav Klimpt's "Hygeia" that has been meticulously crafted on a 2x3 disc of Onyx. Hygeia (or Hygieia) is a figure from Greek mythology, the daughter of the god of medicine, Asclepius, and the goddess of healing, Epione. She was considered the goddess of health, cleanliness, and hygiene, and was often depicted holding a serpent or a cup, symbolizing healing and medicine.
